What should be paid attention to during construction of wear-resistant elbow

Release time : 2019-09-04     Browse volume : 599

In the construction of wear-resistant elbows, we must pay attention to the comprehensive factors of soil quality, geology and other aspects around them. For wear-resistant ceramic coatings in the application, more attention should be paid to the temperature of equipment or parts. Because the temperature of various equipment parts is different, we must look at the instructions of the use of equipment parts during construction, in order to avoid damage to the equipment. According to the difference of wear medium and scouring speed, the construction thickness at the air duct, elbow and cyclone separator is generally 20 mm. The construction thickness can be increased to 30 mm or 40 mm at the parts where the local wear is serious, such as the cone hopper and chute of powder separator.

In the case of construction thickness of 20mm, after degreasing and paint removal, the steel mesh is directly welded on the motherboard of the equipment, usually with the patterned mesh welding. The spacing between the solder joints is 200mm-300mm. Then the mixture of dry ceramic powder, water and steel fiber, which is evenly stirred in the field, can be smeared. Because the curing speed of ceramic coatings at room temperature is very fast, the construction should be completed as soon as possible after each mixing. The construction time limit is generally 30 to 60 minutes according to the temperature of the site. The residual mixture can not be used after the beginning of solidification.

In the case of construction thickness exceeding 20 mm, it is necessary to weld the isolating steel bar on the motherboard of the equipment first. When the construction thickness is 30 mm, 6 mm steel bars are used; when the construction thickness is 40 mm, 8 mm to 10 mm steel bars are used; then the steel mesh is welded on the steel bars, and the mixing and smearing procedures are the same as those when the construction thickness is 20 mm.

For high temperature applications, such as thrice air valves, refractory castables are installed on the valve body first, and their thickness is determined by the material used in the motherboard and the allowable heat consumption. Then steel mesh is welded on the surface of refractory castable and wear-resistant ceramic coating is applied. The use of directional fibers enhances the toughness of wear-resistant ceramic coatings and makes them have a certain resistance to deformation. Therefore, the strength and service life of wear-resistant elbows will not be affected whether they are constructed on site or hoisted after construction in workshop.
